ISO 22000:2018 — Food Safety Management Systems.
The international FSMS standard combining HACCP with management-system discipline across the supply chain.
What it is
ISO 22000:2018 specifies a food safety management system combining interactive communication, system management, prerequisite programmes and HACCP principles. It explicitly extends control to the supply chain: outsourced processes and purchased materials must be controlled, and supplier communication documented.
Who it applies to
Food and feed producers, packers and logistics providers wanting an international (non-retailer-specific) certification, often alongside FSSC 22000.
The evidence auditors expect
- Documented control of externally provided processes and products
- Supplier communication records on hazards and requirements
- PRP and HACCP records including incoming material controls
- Traceability records linking lots through the chain
How ComplianceFlow keeps you ready
- Supplier requirements and hazard communications become tracked requests with delivery evidence
- Lot-level documents stay linked from supplier through product — the traceability ISO 22000 clause 8.3 expects
- Verification results and exceptions feed a live view of supply-chain control
